In Free mode, you'll choose from three different fishing spots, cast your line, and wait for bites. The game's centerpiece is Season mode, in which you are challenged to maintain a career as a fisherman. You'll have access to two different locations at the start of this mode, unlocking higher levels and better lures as you progress. The game offers you three different rooms from which you can prepare for your journey: your work desk, the tank room, and the stock corner. Your desk holds fishing information and lures (of which you'll have none to start), while the tank room provides three different types of water in which to store your fish. Reel Fishing II is a fishing game which uses full motion video as backgrounds. Within the different fishing grounds, the player can't move freely but is restricted to certain hot spots. Then the waiting game starts until a fish bites and the camera goes underwater to show the fish and fishing line from the side.

Reel Fishing II boasts 18 levels to complete, not including the hidden level at the end of the game. You've got to be good to get to that one, though.
